Receiving Pardon due to Reciting Durood

A pious person reports the following incident. He says, “I knew a person by the name of Mistah. During his lifetime he was unmindful of his Deen. After his demise I had seen a dream of him and asked him his condition. He replied that Allah Ta’ala had pardoned his sins. Upon my enquiry of the reason he replied, “Once I was writing Hadith from a Muhaddith. Whenever he recited durood upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) I also recited it aloud. Hearing my voice, the whole gathering would also recite durood upon Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam). For this, Allah Ta’ala pardoned all those that were present in the gathering. (Fazaail Durood)
